Plone Fundamentals

June 30, 2018, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Here are some things we will do during the workshop:

  • Explore some of the core-features
  • Discuss the architecture of and some use-cases for Plone
  • Create custom content-types to model and display data
  • Add custom features with python and addons
Bring a laptop to follow the examples! Those who want to get their hands dirty with Python should install Plone on their local machines using the documentation in https://training.plone.org/5/plone_training_config/instructions.html#installing-plone-without-vagrant. Contact me if you have any issues.

If you don't want to write any code you can run a free Heroku-instance of the latest Plone by clicking on "Deploy to Heroku" on https://github.com/starzel/training-sandbox (you'll need a Heroku-account, also free).
